Coloratura Soprano

Elizabeth Strickland

“Dynamic and Vibrant Coloratura Soprano with a voice that effortlessly navigates the intricate nuances of coloratura repertoire and brings a fresh and invigorating perspective to vocal performance.”

About

Musical Beginnings

Elizabeth’s journey in vocal performance began in high school with musical theater, where she participated in over 20 productions, taking on lead roles like Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors and Polly in Crazy For You. She earned awards for classical music excellence in both All-State and Solo Ensemble Competitions. The Lane Fine Arts Scholarship, a full tuition award, supported her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Wesleyan College, and she received a partial scholarship for her Master’s degree from Binghamton University. College also saw Elizabeth exploring opera, performing roles including Fire in  The Child and the Enchantments and Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. Her portfolio extends to roles with The Tri-City Opera and Syracuse Opera Companies.

“An opera begins long before the curtain goes up and ends long after it has come down. It starts in my imagination, becomes my life, and it stays a part of my life long after I’ve left the opera house.”
